Mamkam was founded in 2023 by Muskaan Vaish, a designer born and raised in the serene mountains of Dehradun, Uttarakhand. From an early age, Muskaan showed a natural inclination toward painting, dressing up, and creative expression—she always knew she wanted to be a designer. She pursued her passion by earning a degree in Fashion Design from the University for the Creative Arts, London, followed by a postgraduate degree in Textiles from the Royal College of Art, London. With a deep love for materials, textures, and color, Muskaan also explored the world of automotive design, working as a CMF (Color, Material, Finish) designer both in India and internationally. Her diverse experience includes working with the Kanika Goyal Label in India, and interning with globally renowned brands like Alexander McQueen, Emma Shipley, jaguar Land Rover and Moss Bros. Muskaan brings all these multidimensional influences into Mamkam—blending fashion, art, and storytelling to create a brand that is bold, unconventional, and deeply personal.
